Community Recognition Awards

The Parish Council is holding its Community Recognition Awards at the Annual Parish Meeting this year which will be held on Thursday 24 April at Stanton Community Village Hall at 7.00 pm. 

These awards are given to individuals, businesses or organisations to recognise their work or achievements in the community of Stanton, or in some other way their contribution to the life of the Parish. Anyone can nominate their friends, co-workers or business suppliers of good service to receive an award and Councillors will then consider and decide the award winners for the year.

In 2024, the awards went to:-

• Kasim, Onur and family (Stanton Fish & Chip Shop), in recongition of the popular and welcome service to their customers.
• Karen Archer (Post Lady), in recognition of her cheerful, friendly and oustanding service delivering post and looking out for elderly and disadvantaged residents.
• FLP Motors, in recognition of their loyal, friendly and helpful services to customers.

The award is in the form of a framed certificate which will be presented at the Annual Parish Meeting.

Nomination forms are now encouraged from members of the Parish with a closing date of Tuesday 1 April 2025. They can be requested from the Parish Clerk, or downloaded below.

We hope these awards will raise the profile of some of the excellent work being done by the people of Stanton. Please use them to thank those that have made a positive contribution in your life and the lives of others! Think about those around you and think whether they would be a worthy recipient.
