Invitation to tender for Grass Cutting Contract 2022-24

7 January 2022

Stanton Parish Council are inviting companies to tender for a two-year contract for grass cutting in the village commencing April 2022. This will include some of the verges, the Cemetery in Bardwell Road (not the Churchyards) and the Recreation Ground off Old Bury Road.
Tender documents will need to be submitted to the Clerk no later than Friday 4 February 2022. The successful contractor will be notified on February 11th 2022 after the Parish Council Meeting

Planning Meeting - Wednesday 5 January 2022

Offensive Odours Affecting Stanton Village

13 December 2021

Recently, there has been a recurrence of bad odours and a chemical smell affecting the Village. Parishioners have reported symptoms including sore throats, headaches and feelings of nausea. Moreover, shutting doors and windows is essential when the fumes are detected; because, when the smell gets inside houses it lingers unpleasantly and for a substantial amount of time.

Queens Platinum Jubilee - June 2nd to 5th 2022

An extended bank holiday, from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June, will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone. The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.

Vacancy for Parish Councillor

At last weeks Parish Council meeting Council received the resignation of Cllr Alan Shelton - for personal reasons.
Alan has been extremely industrious during his two stints as a Councillor and he will be sorely missed by all of us.
The Council now has a Vacancy for a Councillor and would welcome applications from any resident intersted in getting involved.
