Stanton Parish Council will meet on Wednesday 5th January 2022 at 7pm in the Village Hall to discuss two planning applications in Wyken Road and Sturgeons Way.
Recently, there has been a recurrence of bad odours and a chemical smell affecting the Village. Parishioners have reported symptoms including sore throats, headaches and feelings of nausea. Moreover, shutting doors and windows is essential when the fumes are detected; because, when the smell gets inside houses it lingers unpleasantly and for a substantial amount of time.
An extended bank holiday, from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June, will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone. The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.
At last weeks Parish Council meeting Council received the resignation of Cllr Alan Shelton - for personal reasons.
Alan has been extremely industrious during his two stints as a Councillor and he will be sorely missed by all of us.
The Council now has a Vacancy for a Councillor and would welcome applications from any resident intersted in getting involved.
