Cllr June Miller - 50 Golden Years service

22 January 2021

It is a rare thing for any Parish Council to have the chance to celebrate 50 years’ service by one of its members, but Stanton Parish Council would be remiss if they let such a significant golden milestone pass by without taking the time to say Congratulations and Thank you.

Veterans Mental Health survey

22 January 2021

The Suffolk Armed Forces Mental Health Group is asking for views from veterans and their families on the support available to them, including NHS, charities and local support groups. How easy is it to get the help you need, when you need it, and what is missing?
Please take a few minutes to complete a short survey as part of a new needs assessment, which will tell us what you think of current support and what needs to be improved. Your responses will be treated in strictest confidence and will be used to help improve services for veterans in Suffolk. The Survey will close on the 31st of January 2021.

New Parish Councillor for Stanton

18 January 2021

At the Parish Council meeting on Thursday 14 January Councillors were pleased to co-opt Karen (Kaz) Davies to the Council as a Parish Councillor.
Kaz lives in the centre of the Village and came here from London in 2012 to be nearer to her family.
Kaz has experience of working in an office environment where she gained skills in dealing with people over the phone and sorting out customer complaints.
Kaz also undertook voluntary work as the secretary for a resident’s association for a number of years.
She is currently a carer for a family member and looks forward to being able to give something back to a village which has been very welcoming towards her.
