An extended bank holiday, from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June, will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone. The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.

What would you like to see in the Village for this extended bank holiday ?

street party

The Parish Council are keen to get as many people involved as possible to make this a real Village event but we cant do this alone.

Parish Councillors Kaz Davies and Lorraine Frost are leading for the Council and to start things off are holding a meeting at 2pm on Thursday 6 January 2022 at Stanton Community Village Hall (small hall) when we are hoping that village organisations will be able to send a representative of your organisation with ideas and offers of help.

Those unable to make this first working party meeting can send their thoughts and ideas to the Councillors through stantonparishcouncil@gmail.com

More meetings will follow including an evening meeting for those working during the day time.

So what would you like to see? Some ideas - Street party, tree planting, commemorative bench, childrens activities, commemorative cake/biscuit competition, live music, buffet lunch, tea party etc - everything will be considered!!

WE look forward to hearing from you
